Kendriya Vidyalaya Recruitment 2018: The Kendriya Vidyalaya Recruitment 2018 for at least 8,339 Teaching (PGT, TGT, PRT) and Non-Teaching Posts was released yesterday. The notification has been issued for the post of Principal, TGT, PGT, PRT, Librarian and Vice-Principal on the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) official website- kvsangathan.nic.in.

Candidates who are interested in applying for any of the positions can visit the official website of Kendriya Vidyalaya. The applications for the above-mentioned positions will start from August 24 and continue till September 13. Eligible candidates are advised to apply to the post through the prescribed format on or before September 13.

The eligibility criteria for the post of Principal is a Masters Degree from a recognised university with at least 45 per cent marks in aggregate and a B.Ed or equivalent teaching degree. For the post of Vice Principal, a Masters Degree from a recognised university with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate and a B.Ed or equivalent teaching degree is required. To be eligible for P.G.T, a two-year Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject or a Master s Degree from a recognised university with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate.

In case of T.G.T, at least four years of integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate or Bachelor s Degree with at least 50 per cent marks in the concerned subject/combination of subject and in aggregate is required. B. Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized University will do too.

For Library Head: Bachelor degree in Library Science or Graduate with a one-year diploma in Library Science from a recognized institution. In case of Primary Teacher post, a Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50 per cent marks or Intermediate with 50 per cent marks or its equivalent. Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose. Competence to teach through Hindi & English medium.
