Jealous of her beauty, Delhi's Saddam Hussein tries to sell wife; 'customer' turns out to be a cop

New Delhi: In a most bizarre turn of events, a 32-year-old man has been arrested for trying to sell his second wife to a brothel in the national capital. To his disadvantage, he ended up walking into a trap laid by Station House Officer (SHO), Kamla Market.
A resident of Araria in Bihar, Saddam Hussein had two wives. He reportedly got married to his second wife, a beautiful 28-year-old owing to her good looks. However, the same good looks ended up becoming the bane of his existence. Everywhere they went, people kept staring at his wife which angered Saddam who got into fights more often than one can imagine. According to Times of India, one such incident occurred on August 1 when he got into an argument with a man who was constantly staring at his wife. Enraged, Saddam decided to kill his beautiful wife and bought a knife the very same day.
As the night passed, Saddam changed his mind and thought it would benefit him more to sell his wife to a brothel in Delhi. He told his wife that he had booked the tickets for them to visit her parents in the national capital. Unaware of his plans, his wife readily agreed and the couple hopped on an overnight train to Delhi.
Upon reaching the capital city, Saddam began making inquiries about pimps and brothels. Luckily for his wife, he ended up connecting with a pimp who was working as an informer for Kamla Market SHO, Sunil Kumar. The police officer decided to lay down a trap for Saddam and started a dialogue with him, acting as the buyer.
A team of police personnel led by Kumar summoned Saddam to a common meeting spot for the exchange. However, he did not bring his wife along the first time around and demanded an advance. The policemen then paid him Rs 10,000 out of the Rs 1.2 lakh they had fixed for his wife. As soon as Saddam got his wife to the exchange, the police arrested him on the spot. Clueless about her husband's plans for her, Saddam's wife is currently being looked after by counsellors.
